As
we can see these two characters are meant to be the bad guys in the films.
Although they are bad guys the way they dress represents their social class
that they are quite high up on the ladder. You can tell this from the way they
dress smart suits but in their face they are ready to kill. If you also compare
these two images we see that both sets of bad guys are under low lighting which
represents there dark side that no one will get in there way.
Ethnicity is a big part within gangster films as black people still didn’t have
the freedom that they have now so that is why you have white males who seem to
be at the top of the food chain however if you are a good guy like this image
shows. We see that there is a black man within their ranks which shows that guy
who are good at heart feel that black people are equal and can work alongside
each other.
Throughout
the both films we see both sides dressed well but I fell that the bad guys seem
to have the edge, on how they dress. but I believe the film companies have done
this to make the good guys look like the underdog who will hopefully prevail.
